These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hytndsec.ca (the "Site"), operated by HytndSec, based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Purpose of the Site

The Site provides general information about HytndSec's cybersecurity services — including managed detection and response, virtual CISO leadership, compliance and cyber-insurance readiness, security awareness training, and incident response — and allows visitors to request a consultation or risk assessment. Nothing on the Site constitutes a binding service agreement; actual engagements are governed by a separate signed client agreement.

2. No Professional Advice

Content on the Site, including blog posts, guides, and general security information, is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional cybersecurity, legal, or compliance advice specific to your organization. Your specific risk profile requires a direct engagement with HytndSec or another qualified provider.

3. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and diagrams — is the property of HytndSec or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or related networks
Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation or security
Scrape, harvest, or misuse any content or contact information from the Site

5. Third-Party Services & Links

The Site integrates with or links to third-party services, including Microsoft Bookings for scheduling. HytndSec is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. HytndSec does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HytndSec is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation does not apply to liability arising from a separately signed client services agreement, which is governed by its own terms.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HytndSec harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
